Mahindra Leads in 50HP+ (Trem IV) Tractor Sales, While Punjab Takes the State Lead from Apr'24 to Nov'24

From April to November 2024, there was a lot of competition in the retail sales of tractors, especially in the higher HP segment (TREM IV, 50HP+). But by overcoming this competition Mahindra Tractors has topped the list with its highly mechanized tractors, which Indian farmers love. John Deere, which topped the chart last month, is now in the second position, lagging with 57 tractor units. 

Mahindra Novo 755 DI, 655 DI, and 605 DI are the most popular models in this category, which serve both agricultural and industrial purposes effectively. Here, you can also find the data related to state-wise sales of 50HP+ TREM IV tractors.

TOP STATES IN HIGHER HP SEGMENT (TREM IV, 50HP+)      

Punjab continues to lead the higher HP market, with a contribution of 25.46% of all sales. The state gains from subsidies given by the government as well as good Kharif crops along with a good estimate of the coming Rabi crops. 

Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh hold the second and third positions, respectively, by selling approximately half of the tractors as compared to Punjab. 

The higher HP tractor market is about to change even more as northern states get ready for the Rabi crop as the holiday season is over now. Mahindra and John Deere are still in a close race, and the upcoming months and the rabi season will reveal which tractor brand remains in the top position.
