Noida, September 10, 2025 CNH, a global leader in agricultural and construction equipment, today reaffirmed the strategic importance of India in its global growth strategy. With strengthened manufacturing capabilities, a growing engineering base, and an expanding market presence, the company is positioning India as a centre for innovation, production, and export.

India is one of CNH’s fastest-growing markets. The company is leveraging the country’s strong supplier ecosystem, cost advantages, and skilled workforce to drive four key priorities: expanding localized manufacturing for both domestic and global markets, developing India as a global technology and R&D hub, growing market share through localized product offerings, and tapping into India’s engineering expertise to deliver world-class solutions at competitive costs.

Marking a significant milestone in its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ vision, CNH previewed its first Made in India Compact Tractor from its Greater Noida plant. Currently, CNH exports Made-in-India products to over 80 countries, underscoring the country’s ability to deliver globally competitive products while serving domestic needs.

Gerrit Marx, CEO of CNH, said, “India is no longer merely a market; it is a cornerstone of our global growth architecture. From manufacturing world-class products like our Made-in-India compact tractor to serving as a leading R&D and supply chain hub, India embodies our future trajectory. The combination of expert talent and cost efficiency enables us to innovate, scale, and deliver unmatched value to customers worldwide. We remain committed to deepening our footprint in India as a source of advanced, affordable solutions that power agriculture and construction across continents.”

Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director India, added, “CNH sees huge potential in India and we are proud of that. Our investments support the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ vision by strengthening the country’s role in manufacturing, technology, and sourcing. We are creating jobs, boosting General Business mechanization, and delivering world-class solutions that help farmers, drive productivity, and contribute to India’s economic growth.”

The company’s India Technology Centre in Gurugram, set to become CNH’s largest global technology facility, is already driving product innovation for markets worldwide. With over 700 engineers, the Centre is equipped with multi-vehicle simulators, virtual and extended reality labs, and advanced prototyping tools, supporting CNH’s global product development pipeline.

The company aims to double its tractor market share in India under the New Holland brand over the next five years. It plans to achieve this by offering a wider range of localized products, particularly in the 30–50 HP category. These products are designed specifically to meet the needs of Indian farmers.

With manufacturing facilities in Greater Noida, Pune and Pithampur, the company makes tractor, harvesters, balers, rakes, engines, compactors, loader backhoes and excavators. Supported by a strong dealer network across the country and a rapidly expanding R&D base, CNH is well-positioned to contribute to India’s advancement in both agriculture and construction while leveraging the country’s capabilities to serve markets around the world.
