1.GI tag for Madhya Pradesh Rice
Rice is produced in almost 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh and nearly 8000 farmers of the state are engaged in rice cultivation. Therefore, it becomes important for the state government to think about the welfare of such a large number of farmers. Hence, in the same respect to keep the interests of state's farmers, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivaraj Singh Chouhan conducted a meeting to talk about the Geographical Indication tag for the Basmati rice produced in the state. The GI tag indicates the geographic origin of the particular product.
The tag indication becomes even more important because ₹3000 crores of rice are exported to different foreign countries from Madhya Pradesh. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, there are several other states that use Geographical Indication for their state's products.
During the meeting, the Chief Ministry asked the Union Agriculture and Farmers' welfare minister Narendra Singh Tomar to get the GI tags for the rice of Madhya Pradesh.
2. Now farmers can sell their crops anywhere in India and get the best price for their products.
The Agriculture ministry has established two new reforms under the Farmers Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Ordinance 2020 in the agriculture sector. It will enable farmers to sell their crops all over the nation without any restrictions and get the best price for their crops hence it will assure farmers that they will get a good price for their crops that means a good return of their investments.
According to The Union Agriculture Minister this will remove the gap between agriculture and other sectors. He also said that KVKs (Krishi Vigyan Kendra) are playing an important role in Indian agriculture as they are ensuring that all small scale farmers have access to government schemes and subsidies as well as that they adopt healthy agricultural practices like using saving water during irrigation, soil testing etc. They also play an important role in promoting cluster farming.
There are a total of 720 KVKs along with 151climate smart villages in India giving training to almost 15 Lakh farmers every year. According to Narendra Singh Tomar the Indian minister of agriculture & farmers’ welfare, rural development & panchayati raj there are 86 finely working KVKs in UP while establishment of 20 more KVKs had been approved and 17 among them are already working as well as a new KVK has been proposed for Moradabad.
3.The New Tractor Loan Plan of SBI.
State Bank of India has launched its new tractor loan plan. The farmers can only apply to this loan if they own at least 2 acres of land. Expenses like tractor cost, accessories and implements cost, insurance and registration cost all of these will be covered under the SBI new tractor loan scheme. Farmers can repay the tractor loan monthly/quarterly/yearly according to their wish. And farmers must have some land to keep mortgage whose value is at least equal to the requested loan amount. Repayment of the loan can be done in 60 +1 months.
Documents Required:
1.For Application-
Filled application form,3 recent passport size photo, Voter ID card, PAN card, Passport, Aadhaar card, land document, Estimation of the tractor by the dealer, Title search report.
2.Before Disbursement-
Loan execution documents, Original paper of land (which has to keep as a mortgage), Post-dated cheque.
3.After Disbursement-
Insurance copy, Original bill or invoice of the tractor, RC book showing the hypothecation charge made to SBI.
There are changes in charges during the whole procedure in a new tractor plan. The applicant has to pay a processing fee(0.5%), late payment charges(1% per annum on unpaid instalment), charges on late registration of tractor(2%), Rs.253 on each failed SI and Rs.562 on each failed EMI. The margin is 15℅ of all the expenses and Rate of interest is 11.95% per annum of this loan.
4. Country Ready to fight against Locust Attacks.
The recent locust attacks in parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh have demanded serious actions as these attacks are turning deadlier. The Food and Agriculture Organisation has alerted the farmers to enhance the capacity of their crop protection. Keeping in view all this the agriculture ministry has strengthened their aerial Spraying capacity for anti locust operations. 15 drones have been deployed to keep a watch on locust attacks. India is the first company to assign drones to keep a watch on locust attacks. A Bell helicopter has been deployed in desert areas and a Mi 17 Helicopter in Jodhpur District. Indian Air Force has also conducted anti locust operations. Currently around 60 different control teams have been made which use spray vehicles to control locust attacks. As a result of this, no significant crop losses have been reported in the states of Gujarat, MP, Maharashtra, and UP.
5.ग्रामीण इलाकों में पहुंचने लगा है कोरोना वायरस, किसानों की सावधानी ज़रूरी।
कोरोनावायरस का असर अब तक जहां शहरों में ही देखने को मिल रहा था अब ग्रामीण इलाकों में भी फैलने लगा है। कोरोना वायरस के ख़तरे को देखते हुए अब किसानों का भी सावधानी बरतना अहम हो गया है। शहरों में जिन नियमों का पालन किया जा रहा उससे अलग किसानों को कुछ विशेष सावधानियों पर ध्यान देना होगा।
कोरोनावायरस से बचाव के लिए किसान मशीनों के उपयोग पर ज्यादा जोर दे तो बेहतर होगा। आदमियों की जगह अगर मशीनों का उपयोग होगा तो संक्रमण का खतरा कम हो जाएगा।
मशीनों और हंसिया, खुरपी और कुदाल जैसे हस्तचालित उपकरणों के उपयोग में भी सावधानी बरतनी होगी, हाथ के स्पर्श में आने वाली सभी वस्तुओं को उपयोग के पूर्व और उपरांत अच्छी तरह से पानी से साफ करना आवश्यक है।
इसके अलावा कटाई के समय भी किसान सामाजिक दूरी का पूरी तरह पालन करें, कटाई के समय मुंह को ठकने के लिए मास्क आदि का उपयोग भी होना ही चाहिए।
अगर किसी में सर्दी खासी के लक्षण दिखें तो उससे सबसे पहले दूरी बनाई जाए, इसके बाद अगर बीमारी के लक्षण नजर आए तो नजदीकी स्वस्थकर्मी तक इसकी सूचना पहुंचाए।
6.डेयरी फार्म बिज़नेस में सहायक लोन स्कीम्स
किसी भी समय दूध एवं इसके उत्पादों की मांग खत्म नहीं होती । इसी कारण से केंद्र एवं राज्य सरकार द्वारा डेरी फॉर्म को बढ़ावा देने के लिए डेयरी उद्यमिता विकास योजना चलाई जा रही है । ताकि किसान एवं पशुपालक डेयरी फार्म बिजनेस की शुरुआत कर पाए एवं उनकी आमदनी में भी बढ़ोतरी हो ।
सरकार द्वारा डेयरी फार्म बिजनेस की शुरुआत के लिए लोन मुहैया कराया जाता है । तो वही एसबीआई SBI जैसे देश के बड़े बैंक द्वारा सेंट्रल डेयरी स्कीम चलाई जा रही है, वही बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा मिनी डेयरी यूनिट के फाइनेंस की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराता है । जिसमें ऑटोमेटिक मिल्क कलेक्शन सिस्टम के लिए अधिकतम 1 लाख रुपए का लोन , मिल्क हाउस या सोसायटी ऑफिस के लिए न्यूनतम 2 लाख रुपए का लोन , मिल्क ट्रांसपोर्ट व्हीकल के लिए अधिकतम 3 लाख रुपए का लोन एवं चिलिंग यूनिट के लिए 4 लाख रुपए का लोन प्रदान किया जाएगा ।
डेरी फार्म लोन को 6 महीने से लेकर 5 साल की अवधि के बीच में चुकाया जा सकता है । जिसमें हर बैंक लोन पर अपने अनुसार तय की गई स्कीम एवं ब्याज दर रखता है ।
