Late Shri Chandra Mohan was regarded as the ‘Father of Tractor’ in India. He was the founder of Swaraj Tractors and has won a prestigious award, Padma Shri, of India. He was given this name because of his immense contribution to bringing advanced tractor technology to India. He was the one who designed and invented Swaraj Tractors indigenously.
He holds the credit to set up Punjab Tractor which was India’s very first large-scale venture for tractor selling.
