Have you ever asked a question about whether you keep your tractors well or not?

If not then it is your time to ask this question as it is your duty and responsibility to look after your tractor and each part whether they are functioning well or not.

Being a tractor owner there is a prerequisite for you to make some custom changes over the working of brakes, engine evaluation or execution, and many things altogether.

Now let us know how you can keep your tractor tires well equipped or well-maintained as time passes by.

No matter how big, strong, and durable a tractor may look, the parts that suffer damage on the field are the tires. However, you can only minimize tire wear and strain by taking appropriate care of your tractor.

No matter how big, strong, and durable a tractor may look, the parts that suffer damage on the field are the tires. However, you can only minimize tire wear and strain by taking appropriate care of your tractor.

Here are the top 6 tractor tyre maintenance.

1. Observe the pattern and level of your tractor tyres

It's possible that road use caused the front tyres on your tractor to wear unevenly throughout their tread profiles. To level out wear throughout the tractor tyres' lifetime, switch the tyres from one side to the other. However, to fix the issue, you should refer to the operator's manual for your tractor and adjust the tracking as directed, making sure the front wheels are parallel. The wear on your tractor's front tyres will be enhanced if you use it frequently for work involving a front implement or a front loader, or if you frequently attach front weights even when they are not necessary. Take into account removing weights when not necessary

2. Be smooth while you drive

Try to immediately stop the tractor by using the emergency brakes, The tractor may halt, but the tires still bear the full force. Unpleasant slowing down has a bad impact on the durability of your tractor tyres, which leads to premature tire wear.

Therefore, it is always advised to drive at a neutral speed that will, at long last, prevent you from using the brakes as frequently as possible. Rash driving and routine stops (at high speeds) can encourage tire slipping, which invites an accident and forces the tire to lose much more quickly than expected.

3. Store the tyre in a protected area.

Cleaning the tyres before choosing their posture (laying or remaining) is the first step in storing tyres. Tyres should always be kept in a cool, dry location away from artificial materials and substances like oil and products derived from oil.

Additionally, the capacity zone of the tyres should not be exposed to sunlight or heat, and hotlines and electric engines should also avoid it.

4. Mount and Demount the tractor Tyres

Tyres should always be inflated as directed by the manufacturer. Tyre failure caused by either over- or under-inflation can result in traffic accidents. Rims should not be attempted to be taken apart while the tyre is inflated. While the tyre is filled, avoid tapping or hammering the rim assembly. Tires should only be replaced with tyres whose bead sizes are the same. Tire failure can occur as a result of poor tyre mounting. Use non-flammable materials only to fill tyres.

5. Alignment of the wheel is necessary

The points of the wheels are changed as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer's specifications as part of routine vehicle/tractor maintenance, which also includes changing the wheel arrangement.

These adjustments are made to ensure that each tyre wears evenly, to extend the life of each tyre, and to check for upright, accurate vehicle motion when driving along a straight, level street. After every 7,000 kilometers or whenever you notice any abnormally high tyre wear, you must arrange the wheels.

6. Liquid ballasting is required

Liquid ballasting, which uses the increased weight to simultaneously lower the centre of gravity and prevent slippage, is frequently used for agricultural tyres to boost vehicle stability and grip.

How to identify whether your tyre needs a replacement.

1. Bulges bulging around

If there is an abnormal bulge bulging out over the sidewall or the tyre tread it is an indication that the tyre’s structure has been prone to damage. It happens due to driving habits or low tyre pressure.

2. Tyre cracks

In countries, where there is a hot temperature vehicle tyre’s tend to develop cracks due to temperature fluctuations. Tyres usually develop around six to seven years.

As the rubber gets old it breaks to start decomposing. The cracked tyres can fail at any time and without forewarning can result in a serious mishap.

3. Rotation of tyres

To balance tyre wear, tyres are cycled between the front and back axles. Front-wheel drive is the most common type of vehicle nowadays. The front-wheel drive platform is also used to build a lot of all-wheel drive SUVs and crossovers based on cars. The front of the car is where the battery, transmission, and other heavier parts are located. Therefore, the front tyres age more quickly than the back tyres.
