As the new month is up, so is the latest FADA sales report and the data clearly shows how Coronavirus has highly affected the tractor industry, just like the economy of our nation. Unfortunately, the tractor industry saw a major decline in the sales of the tractor during July 2022 as compared to July 2021. As of July 2022, the sales of tractors went down to 59,573, from 82,419 in July 2021.
These figures might look a little disappointing, but these were still more than the sales that the tractor industry saw in June 2022. So, we can see that it is safe to say that Coronavirus may have affected the tractor industry, but it still shows a promising future ahead and will bounce back soon.
1. Sales report for Mahindra and Mahindra:
Mahindra and Mahindra has as always retained its top position in the table but unfortunately this month again it wasn’t able to save neither its sales nor market share from declining. As of July 2022, Mahindra and Mahindra witnessed a sale of only 14,295 tractors, while they were 20,217 in July 2021. 3. Sales report for International Tractor Limited (Sonalika tractor):
During this month, unlike in June Sonalika left Massey Ferguson behind and acquired the third position in the sales table. But just like every other brand Sonalika too wasn’t able to maintain its sales from declining and was able to witness only the sales of 7,406 tractors in July 2022, while grabbing a market share of 17.70%. These numbers were 9,139 tractors and 11.09% in July 2021.

As its sales dropped from 924 tractors in July 2021 to just 375 tractors in July 2022, while its market shares dropped from 1.12% in July 2021 to 0.63% in July 2022.
13. Sales report for Indo Farm:
Indo Farm tractors might be a smaller tractor brand but despite this, it was still able to increase its market shares by 0.09%. However, these declining figures can’t prevent us from the promising future that this industry has. Hence, wishing a speedy recovery to the tractor industry along with the economy of our nation.
