Mahindra introduces extensive range of advanced tractors, to be called OJA

Mahindra Tractor is a well-known name in the Indian tractor industry and is best known for producing quality and innovative tractors for various agricultural use cases. This time, the leading tractor manufacturer presented an extensive range of advanced tractors to cater to the needs of modern-era farmers. 

Named as OJA, this global tractor program, which was code named as  K2 in the beginning, will be developed in close collaboration with Mitsubishi Mahindra Agri Japan. As the range is ought to bring innovations and high-end productivity to the table, the world was eager to see its launch.  

One More Step Towards Success 

On 6th April 2023, the official account of Mahindra Tractors posted a tweet on Twitter. The tweet goes like this. 

We are pleased to announce "Mahindra Oja"- the brand name of our upcoming Global Tractor Platform “K2”. Oja symbolizes 'Vitality' & 'Source of Energy' all set to transform the farming space.’ 

As the tractor range is claimed to have the best possible technology and innovation, it seems the name is apt for it. 

Hemant Sikka, President of Farm Equipment Sector, M&M, shared the tweet with his remarks. 

Energy, vitality, and strength! That's the All-New Mahindra OJA for you! Coming soon to transform farming in India and across the World!’

The idea of this tractor range was already done in the year 2020 and Hemant Sikka introduced this idea to the world using Twitter. 

Delighted to announce that our All New lightweight K2 series of tractor platforms, developed in close collaboration with Mitsubishi Mahindra Agri Japan, will be made exclusively at our tractor facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana. It will bring fresh investments & create new jobs.’ 

OJA will be launched next year and is likely to bring multiple inventions that will empower farmers across the globe by all means possible. 

There will be four sub-tractor platforms named small utility, large utility, subcompact, and compact under OJA. Under these subcategories, Mahindra OJA is likely to offer over 40 models of highly advanced and feature-rich tractors across various HP points.   

As per official sources, the manufacturing of this tractor range will be done at Mahindra’s Zaheerabad tractor facility. 

This manufacturing unit is one of South Asia’s largest plants, Despite being a budding manufacturing unit, it’s packed with advanced technologies and is already manufacturing the Gen Z of tractors, Yuvo and Jivo tractors. The plant is designed to roll out over 300 different varieties of tractors ranging from 30  hp to 100 hp. 

Revolutionizing agriculture 

Mahindra Tractor offers a wide range of agriculture equipment that help farmers to remain productive and produce quality yield. We are likely to see some more inventive products from the brand like K2 Rotary Cutter, K2 Mid Mount Mower, Paddy Transplanter, and so on.
