Retail Tractor Sales Register 26.36% Decline in June 2024, Sold 70,434 Tractors

Retail Tractor Sales in India for June 2024 

Let’s review the retail tractor sales of June 2024 in detail. We will cover the sale in the lowest to highest order. 

Retail Tractor Sale for Kubota Agricultural Machinery India PVT LTD in June 2024 

Kubota sold 1,217  tractor units and managed to capture a 1.72% market share in June 2024. In June 2023, the total retail sale of Kubota was 1,731 tractors and its market share was 1.80%.

Kubota sold 8,515 units between Jan 2024 - June 2024. 

Retail Tractor Sale of CNH Industrial (New Holland) India PVT. LTD. in June 2024 

New Holland retail tractor sales in June 2024 remained at 2,834 tractors and its market share was 4.02%. The market share of this brand was 5.75% and its total retail tractor sale was 5502 tractors in June 2023. This way,  New Holland demonstrated a significant YoY drop.

CNH sold 17,835 units between Jan 2024 - June 2024. 

Retail Sales Report for Eicher Tractors in June 2024

Eicher Tractors sold 4,625 tractors in the retail tractor markets during June 2024 whereas June 2023 sale was 4,983 units. The market share of Eicher was 6.56% and 5.20 % in June 2024 and June 2023 respectively. 

The first six-month sale of Eicher Tractors for FY25 is 29,848 units. 

Retail Tractor Sale of John Deere Tractor  PVT LTD in June 2024

John Deere sold 5,500 tractor units in June 2024 against the 8248 units sold in June 2023. The market share stood at 7.80% in June 2024 and 8.62% in June 2023.

John Deere sold a total of 32,451 units in the first six months ( Jan 2024- June 2024). 

Retail Tractor Sale of Escorts Kubota Limited (Farmtrac and Powertrac) in June 2024 

In June 2024, Escorts Kubota Limited (Farmtrac and Powertrac) sold 7,536 tractor units in the retail market and seized a 10.69% market share. In June 2023, the sale was 10,215 units and the market share was 10.67%. 

Escorts Kubota closed the first six months (Jan 2024- June 2024) with a total retail sale of 44,274 units. 

Retail Tractor Sale of TAFE (Massey Ferguson Limited) in June 2024 

Massey Ferguson sold 8,646 tractor units in the retail markets in June 2024 and captured 12.27% market share. As the tractor sale in June 2023 was 11200 units and the market share was 11.70%, Massey Ferguson experienced a certain decline in its YoY sales. 

Massey Ferguson registered a total sale of 51,173 units for the Jan 2024- June 2024 period. 

Retail Tractor Sale of International Tractors Limited (Sonalika Tractors) in June 2024 

The third highest tractor-selling brand in India in June 2024 is Sonalika, a unit of International Tractors Limited. Sonlika’s June 2024 retail tractor sale was 9,243 units and its market share was 13.12%. As June 2023’s tractor sales were 12758 units and the market share was 13.33%, Sonalika performed well in June 2023. 

The total retail sales of Sonalika from Jan 2024- June 2024 remained at 57,625 units. 

Retail Tractor Sale of Mahindra & Mahindra under Swaraj Division in June 2024 

Swaraj retail tractor sales in June 2024 sold 13,280 tractors in the retail market during June 2024. It captured an 18.85% market share of the total retail market. Swaraj retail tractor sales were 15,922 units in June 2023 and its market share remained at 16.64%. 

The total retail sales of Swaraj between Jan 2024 to June 2024 was 82,457 units. 

Retail Tractor Sale of Mahindra & Mahindra in June 2024 

Mahindra & Mahindra became the highest-selling brand in India by selling 16,332 units and capturing 23.18% market share.  However, it experienced a slight drop in its YoY sales as Mahindra sold 21,638 units in June 2023 and its market share was 22.62%. 

If we talk about the Jan 2024 to June 2024 retail tractor sale of Mahindra then it remained at 100,834 units. 

Retail Tractor Sale of Other Tractor Brands in June 2024 

The collective retail tractor sale of other brands in India remained at the mark of 1,221  units in June 2024 whereas their market share was 1.73%. In June 2023, these other brands sold 3455 units and captured a 3.61 % market share. 

The Total Retail Tractor of June 2024 

The total retail tractor sales of June 2024 in India is 70,434 units against the 95,652 units sold in June 2023. With this recorded sale, India’s retail tractor industry experienced a drop of 26.36% on a YoY basis.
