Retail Tractor sales down by 31.72 percent YoY in August 2022 shows FADA Research

The much-awaited moment has arrived for which everyone in the agriculture industry has been waiting, Fada has released a sales report for August 2022 in comparison with the month of August in the previous year. It is very evident that we are still overcoming the aftershock of Covid-19. But as things get back to normal agriculture industry also promises an ever-promising comeback.

Here is the information about how the tractor-manufacturing pioneers performed in August 2022 as compared to August 2021.

Sales report for Mahindra and Mahindra

On top of the list is the ACE of the tractor industry Mahindra and Mahindra. Mahindra and Mahindra made sales of 15921 tractors in August 2021 but had to face a stooping low when they sold 11,605 Tractors which is 4,316 tractors less than the previous year.

Sales report for Mahindra and Mahindra Swaraj Division

The Swaraj Division by Mahindra and Mahindra made sales of about 11,552 tractors in the month of August 2021 while in August 2022 sold 8,135 tractors which is 3,417 tractors less than that of the previous year. Leaving sufficient space for growth in the nearest future.

Sales report for TAFE Limited ( Massey Ferguson Tractor )

TAFE Limited is the ace of the tractor industry, made sales of 8,626 tractors in the month of August in the previous year 2021, while in the current year of August 2022 they managed to sell only 6447 tractors which are about 2179 tractors lesser than that of the previous year.

Sales report for International Tractor Limited ( Sonalika Tractor ) 

International Tractor Limited sold 8252 tractors in the last year in the month of August 2021. Whereas the sales for International tractor limited’ s tractors were lower to 5709 tractors which is2,543 tractors less than that of the previous year.

Sales report for Escorts Limited

Escorts Limited (Farmtrac, Powertrac and Digitrac) took everyone by surprise when they sold only 4882 tractors in the month of August 2021 which are 2,644 tractors less than that o the sales they made last year when they sold about 7,526 tractors in the month of August 2021.

Sales report for John Deere

Every Farmer’s choice, John Deere shocked the market when they sold about 3740 tractors in August 2022 while it is very low as compared to that of what they sold in August 2021 which were 5357 tractors which is 1717 tractors higher than of what they sold in the current year in the month of August.

Sales report for Eicher Tractors 

Eicher sold about 4301 tractors in August 2021 while the company sold only 2713 tractors in August 2022 which is about 1588 tractors lesser than that of the previous year.

Sales report for CNH Industrial (New Holland)

CNH Industrial sold about 1925 tractors in the month of August 2022 while they had sold 2800 tractors in August 2021 which is about 875 tractors more than this year’s August.

Sales report for KUBOTA

India’s very own master blaster of tractor manufacturing industry also had to face a stooping low when they sold only 1340 tractors in August 2022 while they sold about 1663 tractors in the month of August 2021 which is 323 tractors less than that of the previous year.

Sales report for V.S.T Shakti

VST tillers and Tractor division sold 1202 tractors in the month of August in 2021 while they were able to sell only 380 tractors in August of 2022 which was lower by a huge number of 822 tractors.

Sales report for Others

The rest of the market for the tractor industry also faced a loss when the sales for August 2022 were only 1557 tractors while that of August 2021 were 2578 tractors which is 1021 tractors less sold.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it won’t be completely wrong in suggesting that the tractor industry is still recovering from the outside phenomena be it 2-3 years of global pandemic or economic crisis or even environmental factors which have ill effects on all the agriculture industry as a whole.

But as someone has rightly said he who falls shall rise again. The same goes for this situation as well, sales will go up the market will prosper again.
