Retail Tractor sales increased by 9.62% YoY in May 2023, shows FADA Research
FADA has released its Monthly tractor sales report for May 2023, which shows a 9.62 % YOY increase in May 2023. This article entails all the details of the sales of different tractor brands for May 2023. Plus, we will compare this year's data with the previous year's tractor sales of May 2022.
As per the FADA report, the tractor sale has shown comparatively higher sales for May 2023 than the sales of May 2022. Every tractor brand has indicated better growth, raising the demand for manufacturers to introduce more tractors in the market for agricultural and commercial uses. So, now, we will dive into the sales done by particular tractor brands.
Tractor Sales May 2023:
1. Sales report for Mahindra and Mahindra:
Mahindra as usual has achieved its top position with a total sales of 15,833 units in May 2023. It is also the highest sales compared to its previous year's sales in May 2022, which was 11,965 units respectively. Mahindra tractor demands are increasing daily in India, which shows the trust in the brand.
2. Sales report for Mahindra and Mahindra under Swaraj Division:
Swaraj Tractors have also managed to attain better growth in their sales compared to their previous year's sales. Swaraj sold 12,765 units in May 2023 whereas in May 2022 the sales were 8,794. This also shows a drastic increase in sales this year (May 2023).
3. Sales report for TAFE Limited (Massey Ferguson Tractor):
TAFE this month has acquired the 3rd position in the list compared to its last month's 4th rank. TAFE successfully sold 8,921 tractors in May 2023 against last year's tractor sales of 7,537 units in May 2022. TAFE is also getting a competitive edge over the other brands.
4. Sales report for International tractors limited (Sonalika Tractor):
Sonalika Tractors successfully sold 8,839 tractors in May 2023 against 7,537 tractors in May 2022. This also shows the increase in demand for sonalika tractors among tractor owners.
5. Sales report for Escorts Kubota Limited (Farmtrac, Powertrac, and Digitrac):
Escorts Kubota Limited have done better sales, attaining a high sales rate of 7,664 unit in May 2023 against its last year's monthly sales for May 2022, which was 5,825 units. Hence, Escorts Kubota also attracts tractor lovers to their all-rounder tractors for agricultural and commercial uses.
6. Sales report for John Deere:
John Deere has shown an increase in their monthly sales for May 2023 with 5,159 unit sales, which is comparatively higher than its previous year's sales of 3,892 units in May 2022. This way, john deere has also done a great job in satisfying users with their powerful and efficient tractors in the Indian market.
7. Sales report for Eicher Tractors:
In the case of Eicher tractors, they managed to sell 4,500 in May 2023 against their sales of May 2022, which showed sales of 4,110 units. However, the sales rate is quite better than their previous year's sales and shows a win-win situation.
8. Sales report for CNH Industrial (New Holland tractors):
CNH Industrial i.e. new Holland tractors have been successful in selling 2,856 tractor units in May 2023 compared to their sales of May 2022, which showed 2,291 unit sales. Day by day new holland is also gaining the attention of tractor owners with their magnificent tractors.
9. Sales report for Kubota:
Kubota tractors have sold 1,635 units of tractors this May 2023 which is comparatively greater than the 1,412 monthly sales of May 2022. This way, Kubota agricultural machinery india pvt ltd has also managed to get better sales this year.
10. Sales report of Other tractors:
Other tractor brands in India such as Force Tractors, Vst Tractors, Preet Tractors, and Indo Farm Tractors have registered a decline in their sales this year in May 2023 compared to their sales in May 2022 with a slight difference in number. However, ups and downs in sales rates occur every month with tractor brands, which does not signify the popularity and quality of tractors.
