The wait is over! FADA’s February 2024 tractor sale report is finally out. We now have insights into the total retail tractor sales from India’s leading tractor manufacturers including Mahindra, Sonalika, Swaraj, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, and many more.
Let’s review the retail tractor sales in February 2024 closely to learn which tractor manufacturer stood ahead of its peers and sold the highest number of tractors during February 2024.
FADA Retail Tractor Sales Report for February 2024
Mahindra & Mahindra became the highest seller for February 2024. Mahindra sold 17,490 tractors and grabbed 22.83% market share in February 2024. With these sales figures, this renowned tractor manufacturer of India registered slight YoY growth.
Mahindra sold 15,889 tractors and seized 23.02% of the market share in February 2023.
2. Mahindra & Mahindra Tractor Sales, Under Swaraj Division, in February 2024
Swaraj’s February 2024 tractor sale is 14,100 units. The market share of Swaraj remained at 18.40% in February 2024, which is high compared to February 2023.
During February 2023, Swaraj sold 12,478 tractors and held a market share of 18.08%. Seeing this, Swaraj also experienced a growth in YoY tractor sales.
3. International Tractors Limited, Sonalika Tractors, Sales in February 2024
The 3rd highest tractor-selling brand in India in February 2024 is Sonalika Tractors. Sonalika sold 9,841 tractors in February 2024 and acquired 12.84% market share.
If we compare this sale with the February 2023 Sonalika tractor sale, we learn that the company experienced a jump in its YoY tractor sales. Sonalika sold 8,619 tractors and had a hold over 12.49% market share during February 2023.
4. TAFE (Massey Ferguson) Tractor Sales in February 2024
In fourth place, we have Massey Ferguson. Massey Ferguson tractor sales in February 2024 are 8,307 units. This impressive sale helped Massey Ferguson to bag a 10.84% market share of India’s tractor market.
As the Massey Ferguson February 2023 tractor sales were 6,608 units and its market share was 9.57%, it witnessed a jump in YoY tractor sales.
Escorts Kubota Limited performed well during February 2024. We are saying so because the Escorts Kubota February 2024 tractor sale is 7,449 units and its market share in India's tractor market stood at 9.72%.
Escorts Kubota sold 7,344 tractors and was at 10.64% market share in February 2023. This way, it enjoyed a growth in YoY tractor sales.

John Deere became the 6th highest tractor-selling brand in India with great sales figures. John Deere sold 5,906 tractors in February 2024 and its market share for the said period remained at 7.71%. John Deere sold 5,958 tractors and its market share was 8.63% during February 2023.
Eicher February 2024 tractor sale was 5,366 units in the retail market and it captured a market share of 7.00% in February 2024. The company endured growth in YoY sales as the February 2023 Eicher tractor sale was 3,932 units and its market share was 5.70%.
8. CNH Industrial (New Holland Tractor) India PVT LTD Tractor Sales in February 2024
New Holland showed growth during February 2024 with retail sales of 3,016 tractors and a market share of 3.94%. Because of this performance, New Holland became the 8th largest tractor-selling brand in India for the said period.
New Holland sold 2,656 tractors in February 2023 and its market share was 3.85%.
9. Kubota Agricultural Machinery Pvt. LTD. Tractor Sales in February 2024
Kubota's February 2024 sale is 1,735 tractors and its market share is 2.26%. This tractor manufacturer experienced a drop in YoY tractor sales. It sold 1,966 tractor units in February 2023 and its recorded market share was 2.85%.
10. Captain Tractors PVT. LTD Tractor Sales in February 2024
Captain’s February 2024 sales are 498 tractors and its market share is 0.65%. Comparing this sale data with the February 2023 sale, we learned that the brand did well in February 2024 because the Captain February 2023 sale was 249 tractors and its market share was 0.36%.
11. VST Tillers Tractors Limited Tractor Sales in February 2024
VST sold 341 tractors in February 2024 and its market share is 0.45%. During February 2023, it sold 462 tractors and seized 0.67% market share. This way, the brand faced a downturn in YoY tractor sales.
12. Gromax (Trakstar Tractors) Agri Equipments PVT. Tractor Sales in February 2024
Gromax's February 2024 tractor sale was 308 units and this tractor manufacturer seized 0.40% of the total tractor market of India. The brand sold 253 tractors in February 2023 and its market share was 0.37%.
13. Other Tractor Brands Sales in February 2024
India is the world's largest tractor manufacturer. This is why many other tractor brands also accumulate greatly in the total sales of the tractor industry. For February 2024, the combined other tractor brand sales are 2,269 units and their market share is 2.96%.
This category endured a drop in YoY sales as the other tractor brand's February 2023 tractor sale was 2,620 units and their market share was 3.80%.
What FADA Report Says About Total February 2024 Tractor Sales in India?
According to the report, Retail tractor sales is 76,626 units in February 2024 and this industry demonstrated a notable jump of 11% in YoY tractor sales. The total retail tractor sales in India during February 2023 was 69,034 units.
