John Deere India Achieves Record Sales of 1 Lakh Tractors in a Year

A big milestone for John Deere, and for Indian farming too. John Deere India has sold more than 1 lakh tractors in India within Deere’s single fiscal year. The company announced it on November 3, 2026, and called it a new annual sales milestone for its domestic business.

What the Company Said

Rajesh Sinha, Managing Director and Country Manager of John Deere India said “Selling more than 1 Lakh tractors in a year is not just a business milestone; it is a reflection of the confidence that Indian farmers and channel partners place in John Deere."  He added that the company will keep working on equipment, technology and solutions that help farmers improve productivity and run their operations more efficiently.

Made in India, Sold to the World

John Deere India is also an export hub for the company’s global business. John Deere Tractors built here go to more than 110 countries. Manufacturing happens at the Pune and Dewas plants, while Pune also houses engineering and enterprise technology work. The company has been in India for over 28 years. Its other operations include global IT centres in Pune and Bengaluru, parts distribution centres in Nagpur and Indore, and a financial services arm in Pune.

Credit to the Whole Team

John Deere gave credit to its dealer network, after-sales service teams, employees and suppliers for reaching this figure. Anyone who owns a tractor knows that a good dealer and quick service matter as much as horsepower.

Tractor Gyan’s Take

Crossing 1 lakh units is a proud moment, and it shows that Indian farmers are happy to pay for a tractor that works hard and lasts. Deere’s strength has always been trust, a strong service network and tractors built for different soils and crops. This is a milestone worth celebrating.
