1.उ.प्र. सरकार की योजना, सिंचाई उपकरणों पर मिलेगी सब्सिडी

भारत की कई राज्य की सरकारों ने सिंचाई से संबंधित योजनाएं चला रखी हैं । इसी कड़ी में उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा सिंचाई के लिए अधिक से अधिक स्प्रिंकलर और ड्रिप इरिगेशन सिस्टम के इस्तेमाल को बढ़ावा देते हुए एक महत्वपूर्ण योजना चलाने का निर्णय लिया गया है । इसके तहत नाबार्ड से 450 करोड रुपए का ऋण लिया जाएगा । जिससे राज्य के किसान स्प्रिंकलर सेट और ड्रिप इरिगेशन उपकरण सब्सिडी के साथ खरीद पाएंगे । इस नई पद्धति को इजराइल ने विकसित किया था, जिसमें पाइप लाइन के जरिए सीधे पौधों की जड़ों में बूंद-बूंद पानी दिया जाता है। इस में 80 से 85 प्रतिशत पानी का सदुपयोग होता है । जिससे स्प्रिंकलर सेट से पानी की बचत भी होती है । इसराइली पध्दति पर आधारित इस जल प्रबंधन योजना की शुरुआत उन जगहों से की जाएगी, जहां नहरों की जगह भूजल से सिंचाई की जाती है । इससे भूजल को संरक्षित किया जा सकेगा । इस योजना के अंतर्गत भूजल से सिंचाई के काम करने में ड्रिप और स्प्रिंकलर के उपयोग को अनिवार्य बनाया जा रहा है ।

2.शिमला में आलू की तीन नई किस्में विकसित की गई, मिलेगा अधिक मुनाफा।

आलू की खेती करने वाले किसानों के लिए उपज बड़ाने का एक कारगार उपाय है कि वो वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा तैयार की गई नई किस्मों को ही अपनाएं। बता दें केंद्रीय आलू अनुसंधान संस्थान,शिमला आलू की तीन नई किस्में तैयार की गई है जिनके सहारे किसानों को अधिक उपज मिलेगी।आलू की खेती उत्तर भारत के ही कुछ राज्य उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार, पश्चिम बंगाल, मध्य प्रदेश, पंजाब और हिमाचल प्रदेश के ही कुछ क्षेत्रों में सीमित है पर इन नई किस्मों को बाकी राज्यो में भी लगाया जाएगा। संस्थान के मुताबिक इन किस्मों को खराब मौसम और कम सिंचाई में भी उगाया जा सकता है। कुफरी गंगा, कुफरी नीलकंठ और कुफरी लीमा नाम की आलू की इन तीन किस्मों पर सब्सिडी की भी योजना है। नई किस्मों के आलू आकार में बड़े दिखते है और इन्हे पकाना भी आसान है, साथ ही ये ज्यादा स्वादिष्ट भी है। विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार बाज़ार में इन किस्मों की मांग अधिक होगी,साथ ही ये सेहत के लिए भी फायदेमंद साबित होंगे। इन ज्यादा कार्बोहाड्रेट्स होंगे जो पाचन तंत्र के लिए बेहतर है और गठिया को समाप्त करने के लिए भी इनमें खास पोषक तत्व होंगे।

3.Prices of potatoes have hiked up by 40% in the last one month

The prices of potatoes have risen by 40% in the past one month due to low production of potatoes resulting in a shortage of supply while the demands are still high as people are turning to potatoes due to high prices of vegetables.

The prices have gone to Rs 30-45 per kg, in cities likes Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai are likely to be like these till November according to potato traders of Uttar Pradesh. 

According to Arvind Agarwal, the president of Cold Storage Association of Uttar Pradesh after facing three consecutive bad years this year potato farmers will at least get some good returns as the prices of potatoes has gone up due to shortage of supply and hiking of other vegetable prices.

Unusual rains this year have impacted the production of potatoes hence leading to low production of potatoes in major potato producing cities like Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. And according to Patitpaban De, a veteran trader the prices at the wholesale level has gone to 24.05 per kg eventually increasing the retail prices. And even after the interference of Mamta Banerjee the Chief Minister of West Bengal, the prices have only gone down by one rupee.

4.HEALTH BENEFITS OF SOYABEAN

Soybean is a legume grown for its edible bean, which has numerous uses. Traditional uses of soybeans include soy milk, from which tofu and tofu skin are made. Soybeans contain significant amounts of phytic acid, dietary minerals, and B vitamins. Soybean is a very important protein source for feed farm animals that in turn yields animal protein for human consumption. The soya bean grows in pods enclosing small edible seeds. They are usually green when ripe but the latter can be yellow, brown or black. Soya beans are also consumed as an alternative to meat because of their high protein content. 

Soya is regarded as equal to animal foods in protein quality yet it is thought that plant protein is processed differently to animal proteins. Soya beans also contain compounds called phytosterols. These plant compounds are structurally similar to cholesterol and steroid hormones. They function to inhibit the absorption of cholesterol by blocking absorption sites. Soybeans also help in reducing the danger of type 2 diabetes and are also useful in treating diseases like osteoporosis

5.Chickpeas in Canada and the US market.

The trade trends are positive for chickpeas. Even after some little disturbance in the pricing matter of chickpeas for weeks, now everything is stable. Experts are looking for better chickpea prices maybe because of the compact supplies in India and Mexico.

With this, we have witnessed a serious fall in the combined chickpea area from 8,43,000 of last year to 6,02,000 this year. This has happened due to the spread of disease in Canada and parts of the northern US. And if the disease gets more amplified then the yield from western Canada, Montana, North Dakota is likely to get affected.

The chickpea stock end in Canada is supposed to be higher than the last year with statistics of 155,000 MT this year and 100,000 MT of last year. But unlike Canadain in the US, it is completely opposite there is a drop-in figure from 260,000 MT of last year to 219,000 MT of this year. It is expected to get through some more turns in the chickpea trade because of high rainfall in the US and increased disputes between the US and China in future.

6.Kisan Credit Cards

Kisan Credit Cards have come as a boon to farmers all over India. The government of India has been trying very hard to provide financial assistance to farmers in this hardship of Corona crisis so that the farmers can easily do their work in this Kharif season.

The finance minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman announced on Monday that banks have sanctioned about ₹89,810 crores to about 1.1 crore KCC holders under the Atamnirbhar Bharat package. This financial assistance will help them to fulfil their fiscal needs for Kharif sowing. 

The scheme is also available for fishermen and dairy farmers of the country. The government also stated that the scheme targets about 2.5 crore farmers throughout the nation.

The KCC card can be obtained from the co-operative bank, regional rural bank. It is also available in SBI, BOI, and IDBI banks. Apart from these National Payments Corporation of India Rupees also issue Kisan Credit Card.
