Yanmar Acquires CLAAS India, Rebrands as YAMIN
Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd has completed the acquisition of CLAAS India. The company announced this acquisition during August 2024 and completed the transfer of all shares of CLAAS India to Yanmar Coromandel Agrisolutions Pvt. Ltd. on November 20th, 2024.
This contract can really help Yanmar grow its farming business in India. With this, Yanmar can provide better and more modern solutions to Indian farmers.
The Company will be Renamed as YAMIN
Using its group business, Yanmar Coromandel Agrisolutions Private Limited, Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. formally acquired CLAAS India Private Limited. The company is now renamed as Yanmar Agricultural Machinery India Private Limited (YAMIN).
Wheeled Combine Harvesters will be offered
Yanmar will now offer wheeled combine harvesters among its offerings. At its Morinda, Punjab plant for both the Indian and worldwide markets, YAMIN will manufacture combine harvesters and other farming equipment using its sophisticated technology and experience.
Strategic Reasons Behind the Acquisition
There are various strategic reasons Yanmar bought Claas India. It seeks to improve Yanmar's profile in India's fast-expanding agricultural sector. By using Claas India's proven distribution network and product offers, the acquisition lets Yanmar increase its portfolio and enhance client reach.
