Retail tractor sales in FY 2025-26: Sold 10,30,895 tractors, Rise 18.55%

The retail tractor market in India for FY 2025-26 saw effective growth and set a new milestone. In FY 2025-26 Retail tractor sales are 10,30,895 tractors and an overall increase of 18.55% in the yearly sales. Let's have a look at the overall performance by the brands and the states in the FY 2025-26. 

Retail Tractor Sales in FY 2025-26

Overall, the brands sold 10,30,895 tractors in the retail market, which is an increase of 1,61,290 units from FY 2024-25. 

Mahindra & Mahindra once again came out on top among the best brands, selling 2,49,886 tractors and gaining 24.24% market share. 

Swaraj Tractors is in second position with 1,96,957 units, which is a 18.98% increase from the sales of 1,65,543 units in the last year. Sonalika Tractors came in third, selling 1,34,027 tractors and gaining 13% of the market share.

Escorts Kubota is in 4th place with sales of 1,20,978 units, which is a 0.30% decrease in the market share from the last financial year. Massey Ferguson occupied the next spot by selling 1,18,322 tractors. 

Retail Tractor Sales in March 2026

In March 2026, there were 79,783 retail tractors sold, which depicts a 11.02% rise from the sales of 71,866 tractors in March 2025.

Mahindra & Mahindra sold the highest 19,642 units, taking their market share to 24.62%. Swaraj Tractors came second with sales of 16,007 units.

Sonalika Tractors sold 10,194 tractors, which is a 0.12% decrease in its market share from the previous financial year. 

Escorts Kubota kept going strong with sales of 9,134 units in March 2026 as compared to the sales of 8,851 units in March 2025. Massey Ferguson is in 5th place with sales of 8,489 tractors, which is a growth of 20.12% from the sales of 7,067 tractors in March 2025.

State-Wise: Retail Tractor Sales in FY 2025-26

Uttar Pradesh sold the highest number of tractors. The total retail tractor sales in UP are 1,46,811, which is 14.24% of the total sales. Maharashtra came in second with sales of 1,46,810 units, keeping its strong position in central India.

Rajasthan stayed close behind with sales of 1,30,540 tractors. Madhya Pradesh occupied the 4th spot with sales of  1,20,956 units, which made up 11.73% of the total market.

Gujarat came in fifth by selling 92,529 tractors. These states still make up most of the demand for tractors due to large agricultural bases and more mechanisation.

Retail Tractor Sales Overall Performance

The Indian tractor market remains stable in FY 2025–26. Mahindra, Swaraj, and Sonalika are again the top three brands, but the other brands are also performing well with a good market share.
