Goodyear India just added a new player to its tractor tyre lineup, and it's designed with one goal in mind: helping tractors grip better and last longer in tough field conditions. The new tractor tyre, Ultra Grip, was officially unveiled at a product showcase in Chandigarh. Around 100 dealers and channel partners from across the country showed up for the reveal, which shows Goodyear is putting real weight behind this launch.

What Makes Ultra Grip Different

According to Goodyear, the tyre comes with a deeper tread pattern meant to improve traction across different types of terrain, including muddy fields, dry soil, or uneven land. On top of that, it's built with puncture-resistant construction and a cut- and chip-resistant compound, so it can handle the rough and tumble of everyday farm use without wearing down too fast. Goodyear also says the tyre offers better stability, giving farmers more control during long working hours in the field.

Why This Launch Makes Sense Right Now

Arvind Bhandari, MD of Goodyear India, pointed out that farming today is becoming more intensive, and farmers need tyres that can keep up with that pace. That's really the heart of this launch: as farming practices evolve, the equipment (and the tyres under it) need to evolve too. Right now, Ultra Grip is available in a 14.9-28 size, and Goodyear has confirmed more sizes are on the way. It'll roll out through the company's existing dealer network in major farming regions across India.

About Goodyear India

Goodyear isn't new to this game; the company has been operating in India for over 104 years. It runs a manufacturing plant in Ballabgarh, Faridabad, for farm and commercial truck tyres, supplies several major tractor makers, and also has a consumer tyre plant in Aurangabad plus a tech centre in Hyderabad.

Tractor Gyan's Review for Ultra Grip

At Tractor Gyan, we always keep an eye on tyre innovations because they directly affect a farmer's day-to-day efficiency and running costs. A tyre that grips better and lasts longer isn't just a nice-to-have; it can genuinely reduce downtime and repair costs during peak farming season. Ultra Grip looks like a solid, practical addition for farmers who need reliability on tougher terrains.
