VST Tillers Tractors Partners with Union Bank of India to Offer Easy Finance on Farm Equipment
VST Tillers Tractors Limited (VTTL) has signed an MoU with Union Bank of India to make retail financing more accessible for its range of agricultural equipment. The news will hit farmers who want to mechanise their farming without stretching their budget.
What Does This Partnership Cover?
The financing facility will support customers purchasing VST's tractors, power tillers, power reapers, and power weeders. It means farmers looking to mechanise different aspects of their farming operations, not just tractors, will now have easier access to credit options.
Available Across Over 1,000 Dealers
One of the biggest highlights of this deal is its reach. Instead of passing through separate loan processes elsewhere, farmers will be able to access credit directly in their communities at the point of sale through VST’s extensive network of more than 1,000 dealers across India.
What VST Tillers Tractors CEO Had to Say
"At VST Tillers Tractors, we believe that access to affordable financing is an important enabler of farm mechanisation," said Mr. Antony Cherukara, CEO of VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. "Our partnership with Union Bank of India will make it easier for farmers to access financing for our range of tractors and farm equipment through our extensive dealer network. This initiative reinforces our promise to empowering the farming community with accessible, efficient and technology-driven mechanisation solutions.”
Union Bank of India's Perspective
“We are pleased to partner with VST Tillers Tractors to facilitate convenient and affordable retail finance for farmers,” said Dr. HT Vasappa, GM, Union Bank of India. He also added that this partnership is a reflection of the commitment of the Union Bank of India to the agriculture sector and to financial empowerment of the farming community.
What This Means for Farmers
Farmers also now have easier access to financing at the dealer level, enabling them to acquire modern agricultural equipment and manage their investment through structured and affordable payment plans. It will ease the upfront financial pressure that often hinders decisions to mechanise.
Tractor Gyan’s Opinion
It is the sort of collaboration that makes a difference in grassroots farm mechanisation. The availability of financing at the dealer’s doorstep removes a major barrier for small and marginal farmers who often struggle with loan paperwork and access to formal credit. Partnerships like VST’s with Union Bank of India not only increase equipment sales, but they really help farmers upgrade their operations at a pace that fits their budget. We will be watching this collaboration unfold on the ground in the coming months.
