What is a Disc Plough?

What is a Cultivator? 

A cultivator is a secondary tillage device used after the initial ploughing to break down large soil clods, loosen the topsoil, mix in fertiliser and remove weeds. It consists of a frame fitted with a number of tynes (shovel-like blades) that agitate the soil to a shallow or medium depth. Cultivators are lighter than ploughs and need less power and are usually used just before sowing to prepare a fine, weed-free seedbed.
