Sonalika Hits the 1 Lakh Tractor Sales Milestone in 6 Months (Apr’26-Sep’26)

Sonalika has added another big chapter to its "Khud Se Jeetne Ka DUM” spirit by selling 1,00,000 tractors between April 2026 and September 2026. With this, India’s leading tractor exporter crossed the 1 lakh mark in just the first six months of this financial year. Earlier, Sonalika needed a full 12 months to reach this number. This year, it got there in half the time.

From 50,000 to 1 Lakh in Half the Time

For Sonalika, this target has been made in phases. The first target was to make it to 50,000 tractors. This was accomplished, and after this, the next target was 1,00,000. Once this target was reached in the earlier period, then there was a bigger challenge posed to the company: whether they can achieve 1 lakh tractors in six months rather than twelve.

This attitude has been termed by the company as "Khud Se Jeetne Ka DUM," which means to have the confidence to beat yourself and not others.

For Mr. Mittal, achieving the feat of producing 1 lakh tractors within a period of six months was much more than an achievement. This reflects steady demand among farmers, good distribution support, and efficient plant operations. The accomplishment is even more remarkable since this is the 30th year of Sonalika and comes just after August sales reached an all-time high.
