Statewise - Retail Harvesters Sales YTD (April 2025 to August 2025)
Let's find out where farmers put the most money into harvesters this year.
Rank 1 - Uttar Pradesh: Retail Harvester Sales from April 2025 to August 2025
Uttar Pradesh has once again topped the chart by selling 1,327 harvesters between April and August 2025. It makes up 22.75% of the total YTD retail harvester sales in India. Brands like Vishal and Kartar have done really well here.
Rank 2 - Punjab: Retail Harvesters Sales from April 2025 to August 2025
Punjab, the state known for big farms, came in second with 1,304 units sold. That's 22.36% of the total retail harvester sales during April 2025 to August 2025. Most farmers in Punjab are upgrading their farms with Kartar and Vishal harvesters.
Rank 3 - Madhya Pradesh: Retail Harvesters Sales from April 2025 to August 2025
Madhya Pradesh sold 701 harvesters, which was 12.02% of India's total retail harvester sales. Farmers are buying more Vishal and Kartar harvesters to harvest soybeans, wheat, and rice, which makes them less reliant on labour.
Rank 4 - Haryana: Retail Harvesters Sales from April 2025 to August 2025
Haryana sold 662 units of harvesters, which made up 11.35% of the total. Farmers in Haryana are adopting the best harvesters from Kartar, Vishal and Preet.
Rank 5 - Maharashtra: Retail Harvesters Sales from April 2025 to August 2025
Maharashtra came in fifth place, selling 422 harvesters and making up 7.24% of the total market. Farmers are slowly resorting to harvesters by Malkit and New Holland to help them deal with a lack of workers and speed up the harvesting of cotton and soybeans.
Conclusion
The constant rise in harvester sales illustrates that Indian farming is approaching a new era where technology, time, and efficiency are as vital as hard work. Farmers now consider machinery as growth partners. Better government assistance and funding make harvesters more accessible to small farmers.
These machineries are no longer a luxury for big farmers; they are now a must-have for managing extensive fields during short harvesting periods. And in the coming months, we can expect more sales with a good Kharif harvest, more than enough monsoon, potential GST cuts, and the auspicious festive season.
