The milestone belongs to Sonalika, part of International Tractors Limited, and the growth curve here is honestly rugged. Their very first tractor rolled out in 1996. By 2004, they'd hit 1 lakh units. 2014 brought them to 5 lakh. Then 10 lakh by 2020. And now, in 2026, they've doubled that to 20 lakh, all from the world's largest integrated tractor manufacturing plant.

The Message Behind the Milestone

The news was announced via a LinkedIn post by Mr. Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director, talked about the factory that makes everything 100% in-house – from forging raw steel to building machines tough enough to conquer the harshest terrains on earth. Their tagline, "Jeetne Ka Dum" ("the grit to win"), sums up the philosophy behind the entire operation.

What's amazing is how far they've come. Farmers now use tractors from this one small-town factory in over 150 countries. That's evidence that a facility in a modest Punjab town is quite literally fuelling agriculture around the globe.
