Retail Tractor Sales in June 2026: Sold 99,751 Tractors, Rise 25.56%

The Indian tractor market performed exceptionally well in June 2026, with retail tractor sales of 99,751 units, witnessing a 25.56% YoY rise from June 2025.

Mahindra registered sales of 24,320 units in June 2026 against 17,517 units in June 2024. Mahindra's market share rose by 2.33%, continuing to play a dominant role. 

Swaraj took the second spot with its retail tractor sales of 18,854 units. Its market share increased by 0.91% from last year. Third position is of Sonalika with 13,179 tractors sold, which is 20.84% more than its sales of 10,432 units in June 2025. 

Massey Ferguson came in fourth place, selling 12,070 units, which is higher than 9,816 units in June 2025. It registered a 22.96% rise in sales but a 0.26% drop in the market share. Escorts Kubota is in the fifth position with sales of 10,821 tractors, with a market share of 10.85%. 

Retail Tractor Sales YTD (April 2026 to June 2026)

Industry-wide total retail tractor sales for April-June 2026 were 2,61,349 units, which is a 21.9% hike from the YTD sales of 2,14,403 units during the same period in 2025. 

Mahindra sold 61,139 units, led by about 9,770 units (23.39% market share), followed closely by Swaraj at 49,101 units (18.79% market share), keeping the group's combined lead near 42.18%. 

Sonalika held the third spot with sales of 35,298 units. Its market share also increased by 0.32% while Massey Ferguson posted the sharpest growth in market share (0.66%)  among the major brands, selling 31,176 units. Escorts Kubota rounded out the top five with 29,414 units sold.

State-Wise: Retail Tractor Sales in June 2026

• Rajasthan is at the top of the list in retail tractor sales in June 2026 with sales of 15,424 units. 
• Second in the list is Uttar Pradesh with sales of 12,645 tractors, Swaraj being the highest seller (3,240 tractors). 
• Madhya Pradesh is in 3rd place with sales of 11,399 tractors, with a 11.43% market share. 
• Gujarat is the new one amongst the top 5 with sales of 9,581 tractors. 
• Maharashtra is the 5th in the list with sales of 6,740 tractors. 

State-Wise: Retail Tractor Sales YTD (April 2026 to June 2026)

Demand for tractors was especially high in some states in April 2026. Rajasthan, with the highest retail tractor sales of 40,817 units, had the highest market share by Massey Ferguson with the sale of 17,744 tractors. 

The second-largest tractor market was Uttar Pradesh with 39,876 tractors, with the highest tractors sold by Swaraj (9,694 units). Madhya Pradesh sold 29,244 tractors and occupied the third position with 11.19% market share. 

Maharashtra sold 19,632 tractors, 7.51% of total sales, and the state slipped to fourth place. In April 2025, Karnataka had a market share of 7.15% and sold 18,691 units of tractors, placing it fifth in overall retail tractor sales.
