Retail Tractor Sales in October 2026: Sold 73,648 Tractors

The retail tractor sales for October 2026 were 73,648 units, a  0.45% degrowth from the sales of  73,982 units in October 2025. Here, we look at how retail tractor sales performed this month, which brands stood out, and what could come next.

Retail Tractor Sales in October 2026

Mahindra & Mahindra (Tractor Division) has long been the market leader. It sold 17,273 units in October 2025, a 2.11% decline from the sales of 17,645 units in October last year. Its market share also decreased by 0.40%. 

Swaraj, which is also part of Mahindra & Mahindra, continues to be a farmers’ favourite. Sales for October 2026 for Swaraj were 13,363 units, and it registered a growth of 0.06% in market share from the sales of 13,376 units in the same month in 2025.

Tractors with value for money made Sonalika a popular name, and the company sold 9,899 units in October 2026, a 9.25% increase over sales of 9,061 units last year. The company also shows the highest growth of 1.19% in market share.

Massey Ferguson, a premium brand for farmers who need advanced features, sold 8,900 units in October 2026, 7.98% lower compared to the sales of 9,672 tractors. The brand had a 0.99% degrowth in market share.

Escorts Kubota tractors are driven by their strong design and reliability. It sold 8,211 units in October 2026, which is lower than the sales of 8,292 units in October 2025. Its market share also decreased by 0.06% from the same month last year.

Retail Tractor Sales YTD (April 2026 to October 2026)

From April to October 2026, the Indian tractor industry sold 6,18,979 units in the retail market. In the same period last year, retail sales were 5,26,585 units. That is a rise of 17.55% for the industry.

Mahindra remains at the top with 1,46,488 units sold so far. Its market share is 0.34% down from 24.01% in the same period last year. Swaraj comes next with 1,15,829 units and an 18.71% market share, gaining 19.87% compared to last year.

Sonalika has sold 83,766 units and holds a 13.53% market share, which is 0.55% up year on year. Massey Ferguson followed with sales of 74,110 units and an 11.97% market share, up 0.04% from the same period in 2025. Escorts Kubota rounds off the top five with 69,103 units and an 11.16% market share, a negative change of 0.29% in market share from last year.
