FADA Retail Tractor Sales Report for May 2024 

1.  Mahindra & Mahindra Tractor Sales in May 2024 

Mahindra & Mahindra sold the highest number of tractors in retail markets during May 2024 and managed to grab the 22.73% market share through the impressive sale of 15926 tractor units.

If compared with the sales performance of May 2023, Mahindra & Mahindra’s performance in the retail tractor industry experienced a slight growth as the recorded May 2023 sales were 15836 units and market share was 22.36%.

 

2. Mahindra & Mahindra Tractor Sales, Under Swaraj Division, in May 2024 

Swaraj, a subdivision of Mahindra & Mahindra, became the second highest-selling tractor brand in India for May 2024 by selling 13093 units. This impressive tractor sales helped Swaraj to grab an 18.69% share of the total retail tractor market. These sales trends indicate a YoY growth as the total retail tractor sales of Swaraj in May 2023 was 12776 units, resulting in 18.04 % market share. 

3. International Tractors Limited, Sonalika Tractors, Sales in May 2024 

Sonalika retail tractor sales for May 2024 are 9225 units, resulting in 13.17% market share. In comparison to May 2023, Sonalika performed better in May 2024 as the total retail tractor sale in May 2023 was 8,845 units and the seized market share was 12.49%. 

4. TAFE (Massey Ferguson) Tractor Sales in May 2024  

TAFE retail tractor sales in May 2024 are 8,515 units and the grabbed market share is 12.15%. As TAFE retail tractor sales in May 2023 were 8,932 units and the recorded market share was 12.61%, the brand experienced a slight YoY drop. 

5. Escorts Kubota Limited (Farmtrac and Powertrac) Tractor Sales in May 2024

For May 2024, the recorded Escorts Kubota Limited retail tractor is 7,655 units while the seized market share is 10.93%. These recorded sales demonstrate a very slight YoY drop as the recorded retail tractor sale in May 2023 was 7,671 units. But, the seized market share in May 2023, 10.83%, was lower than that of May 2024.

6. John Deere Tractor Sales in May 2024 

John Deere's May 2024 retail tractor sale is 5,149 units and it managed to seize 7.35% market share. This recorded sale for May 2024 denotes YoY growth as John Deere sold 5,140 units in May 2023 and its recorded market share was 7.26%. 

7. Eicher Tractor Sales in May 2024 

Eicher Tractor experienced a YoY drop in May 2024, with a retail tractor sale of 4,461 units and a recorded market share of 6.37%. The company sold 4,507 units in May 2023 and its market share was 6.36%. 

8. CNH Industrial (New Holland) India PVT. LTD. Tractor Sales in May 2024 

CNH May 2024 retail tractor sales of 2,898 units demonstrated year-over-year growth compared to 2,861 units sold in May 2023, resulting in a lower market share of 4.14% against the previous year’s market share of 4.04%. 

9. Kubota Agricultural Machinery Pvt. LTD. Tractor Sales in May 2024 

Kubota May 2024 retail tractor sales showed YoY decline as the recorded sales are 1,157 units, resulting in 1.65% market share. In May 2023, Kubota’s retail tractor sales was 1,643 units and the respective market share was 2.32%. 

10. Other Tractor Brands Sales in May 2024  

For May 2024, the combined other tractor brand sales are 1,986 units and their market share is 2.83%. In May 2023, the total sales of other Indian tractor brands were 2,602 units and its recorded market share was 3.67%. Through this sales analysis, it’s confirmed that other tractor brands performed way better in May 2023. 

How the Indian Retail Tractor Industry Performed in May 2024

According to the report, the total retail tractor May 2024 sales in India is 70,065 units, with Mahindra & Mahindra being the highest seller, marking 1.05% YoY drop against the 70,813 units sold during May 2023.
