  • In February 2026, Mahindra maintained its clear leadership position by selling 21,459 units, up from 15,517 units in February 2025. The company’s market share increased from 24.32% to 24.64%, reflecting a 0.32% gain, further strengthening its dominance in the retail tractor market.
  • Swaraj secured the second position with 16,896 units, compared to 12,750 units last year. However, despite volume growth, its market share declined from 19.98% to 19.40%, reflecting a 0.58% drop, indicating slightly slower expansion compared to the overall industry growth.
  • Sonalika recorded 11,564 units in February 2026 versus 8,351 units in February 2025. Its market share improved from 13.09% to 13.28%, marking a 0.19% increase, highlighting competitive gains during the month.
  • Escorts Kubota Limited sold 10,338 units, up from 7,646 units. However, its market share slightly declined from 11.98% to 11.87%, a marginal 0.11% drop.
  • Massey Ferguson reported 8,892 units, compared to 6,580 units last year. Despite strong volume growth, its market share dipped marginally from 10.31% to 10.21%, showing a 0.10% decline.

  • Mahindra & Mahindra led the cumulative sales chart with 2,30,218 units, up from 1,90,445 units. Its market share improved from 23.87% to 24.21%, marking a 0.34% gain, further consolidating its leadership.
  • Swaraj recorded 1,80,908 units, compared to 1,51,189 units. Its market share slightly increased from 18.95% to 19.02%, reflecting a modest 0.07% rise.
  • Sonalika sold 1,23,790 units, up from 1,05,896 units. However, its market share declined from 13.27% to 13.02%, reflecting a 0.26% decrease.
  • Escorts Kubota registered 1,11,830 units compared to 95,821 units, but its market share slipped from 12.01% to 11.76%, marking a 0.25% decline.
  • Massey Ferguson reported 1,09,818 units, compared to 92,193 units last year. Its market share remained almost stable, slightly decreasing from 11.56% to 11.55%, a marginal 0.01% decline.

Together, the top five brands contributed 7,56,564 units out of 9,50,714 units, accounting for 79.58% of total YTD retail tractor sales, reinforcing their strong grip over the Indian tractor market.

  • Maharashtra led the country with 1,40,287 units, contributing 14.76% to total sales.
  • Uttar Pradesh followed closely with 1,33,278 units, accounting for 14.02% of overall demand.
  • Rajasthan recorded 1,18,111 unit sales, contributing 12.42%
  • Madhya Pradesh registered 1,10,986 units, representing 11.67% of total retail tractor sales.
