In the case of tractors, 4×4 and 4WD are the same as 4WD tractors have 4-wheel drive and all the 4 wheels receive the power. On the other hand, 4×4 also means the same, all 4 wheels will receive the power. (i.e., 4×4). In short, 4×4 and 4wd are same in the case of tractors and both denote that the power is received in all 4 wheels of the tractor.
