Retail Tractor sales down by 18.87% YoY in February 2022 shows Fada Research

The sales graph of February 2022 faces a depression as compared to that of last year February 2021 sales.

What goes up comes down, goes very well with the current situation of sales of tractor industry, as the sales of even the top brands of tractors were hit by the sudden wave of gravity of sales, the overall sales of the top brands of tractors to be 11,700 tractors sold. Here’s detailed information as per the information absorbed through FADA sales release about how the ace tractor brands went down in the month of February 2022 in comparison to February 2021.
 

1. Mahindra & Mahindra
The maestro of the tractor industry, Mahindra and Mahindra came in the wave of economic depletion when their sales went a little low in the second month of the year 2022. Mahindra and Mahindra sold a total of 13,662 tractors in February 2021 and in February 2022 11,360. A total of 2,302 less tractors than last year.
 

2. Swaraj
The ace of the industry also faced a fall when their sales went down from 10,299 tractors being sold in the February of 2021 to a total of 8,417 tractors sold in the second month of 2022. Making a loss of 1,882 tractors.
 

3. International tractors(Sonalika tractors)
Slightest fall can increase the heartbeat of a person specially if it is in the sales of the tractors, this year ITL also faced a loss in selling the tractors, last year in the month of February ITL sold about 8,486 tractors and in the current year that is February 2022 6,373 tractors facing a loss of 2,113 tractors and lost 0.57 % of the market share.
 

4. TAFE Limited(Massey ferguson )
6,523 and 5,579 is the figure of comparison in February 2021 and February 2022 respectively facing a loss of 944 tractors, faced by another ace TAFE Limited.

5. Escorts Limited
The tractor brand famous for the top quality products and durability, escorts also had to face a depletion when the total tractors sold in February 2021; 7,157 tractors and went down to 5,039 tractors, depicting that it can do better in the future.

6. John Deere tractors
5,177 tractors were sold in February 2021 and 4,409 tractors in February 2022 showing a loss of 768 tractors in all.
 

7. Eicher Tractors:

The well known tractor brand also had us by surprise when it faced a downfall in the sales when the sales of February 2021 was 3,979 tractors and went up to 2,749 tractors in the month of February in 2022.
 

8. Kubota Agricultural
Another ACE of the tractor manufacturing industry Kubota had a slightly promising response in the sales of its tractors. Their sales in the year February 2021 1,115 tractors and in February 2022 went up to 1,333 tractors. Showing a improvement in sales by 218 tractors.

9. Others
Some of the tractor brands like VST, Force motors etc also showed mixed response, while brands like force motors and Indo farms joined Kubota in increment in the sales of tractors others remained in  the lane of depression. Both of these firms faced a increased number in 44 and 76 tractors. Others showed the loss resulting in overall loss.
 

The decrease had all of us by surprise and left us in a slight shock, but the decrease in tractor sales is a result of several variants that affects the tractor industry directly or indirectly. Such as market share, economic trends and conditions and many more, the ever promising tractor brands have a hope to improve the sales and experience an increment in the sales of these tractors now that covid is almost gone and markets are opening again.
