September 2024 brought notable changes in harvester retail sales in India. Let’s explore the monthly retail sales of harvesters and the market changes over the years. 

This blog also examines brand sales on a year-to-date basis from April to September 2024. Also, you will find state-wise harvester sales data at the end of the blog. Let’s find out the top brands in the harvester sales in September 2024.

September 2024 Harvester Sales Overview

September 2024 saw several changes in the Indian harvester retail market. 1,074 units were sold overall in September 2024. It exceeds the September 2023 sales count of 418 units. Instead of new emission criteria, the industry has been able to adapt nicely.

From April to September 2024, (year-to-date) harvester sales were 4,855 units, less than the 5,775 units sold during the same period in 2023. Though there is a decline in April to September 2024 harvester retail sales, the market is predicted to grow more in the coming festive season. 
 

Brand-wise Harvester Sales for September and YTD September

Here’s a closer look at how brands performed in the month of September 2024 and YTD September 2024.

Kartar Harvester Sales in September 2024 

Kartar harvester sales increased in September 2024 against September 2023. In September 2024, they sold 154 units as compared to 32 units in September 2023. Because of this, their market share went up from 7.66% in Sep 2023 to 14.34% in Sep 2024, showcasing a growth of 6.68%. 

Kartar harvester sales for YTD (Apr-Sep 2024) is 779 units, compared to 883 units sold during the same time last year. Overall, their market share is 16.05% in Apr-Sep 2024 and 15.29% in Apr-Sep 2023, showing an increase of 0.76% in market share.

Vishal Harvester Sales in September 2024

Vishal sold 132 harvesters in September 2024 compared to 97 harvesters sold in September 2023. Their market share goes down from 23.21% in September 2023 to 12.29% during September 2024, which is a decrease of 10.92%. 

Vishal sold 642 harvesters in Apr-Sep 2024, compared to 918 harvesters sold during the same time period in 2023. It means that their market share is down by -2.67% which indicates a downfall from 15.90% in Apr-Sep 2023, to 13.22% in Apr-Sep 2024. 

Malkit Harvester Sales in September 2024

In September 2024, Malkit sold 62 harvesters, up from 34 harvesters sold in September 2023. Malkit's market share went from 8.13% in Sep 2023 to 5.77% in Sep 2024. It indicates a fall of 2.36% overall. 

Malkit sold 285 harvester units from April to September 2024, in contrast to 441 harvester units during the equivalent period in 2023. The company's market share was 7.64% from April to September 2023 and 5.87% from April to September 2024, reflecting a decrease of 1.77%.

Preet Harvester Sales in September 2024

In September 2024, 64 harvester units were sold by Preet, in contrast to 17 units in September 2023. Their market share increased by 1.89% from 4.07% in Sep 2023 to 5.96% in Sep 2024.

Their year-to-date (Apr-Sep) sales fell from 336 units in 2023 to 237 units in 2024. It shows that the company's market share decreased from 5.82% in Apr-Sep 2023 to 4.88% in Apr-Sep 2024, showing a decrease of 0.94%.

John Deere Harvester Sales in September 2024

John Deere steadily grew; in September 2024, they sold 50 units, up from 22 units in September 2023. During that time, their market share went down from 5.26% to 4.66% which shows an overall decline of 0.60%. 

John Deere’s year-to-date for Apr-Sep 2024 sales is 214 units, which was more than the 173 units sold in Apr-Sep 2023. It indicates a 1.41% increase in its market share from 3.00% in April to September 2023 to 4.41% in April to September 2024.

Gurdial Harvester Sales in September 2024

The 57 units of harvesters sold by Gurdial in September 2024 was a big jump from the number of 26 units sold in September 2023. Their market share went down from 6.22% in September 2023 to 5.31% in September 2024, which is a downfall of 0.91% in market share.

Gurdial sold a total of 190 harvester units, from April to September 2024, which is more than the 127 units sold during Apr-Sep 2023. Their market share grew by 1.71%, going from 2.20% in April to September 2023 to 3.91% in April to September 2024.

New Holland Harvester Sales in September 2024 

The number of harvesters sold by New Holland in September 2024 was 19 units, up from 5 units in September 2023. In September 2024, their market share was 1.77% higher than 1.20% during September 2023, which indicates a rise of 0.57%.

New Holland Harvester’s year-to-date sales from April to September 2024, have hit 178 units, up from 119 units sold during the same time last year. Their share of the market went up by 1.61%, from 2.06% in Apr-Sep 2023 to 3.67% in Apr-Sep 2024.

Dasmesh Harvester Sales in September 2024

Dasmesh harvester sales were 48 units in September 2024 which was more than its sales of 5 units in September 2023. Dasmesh market share was 1.20% in September 2023 and 4.47% in September 2024, indicating a growth of 3.27%. 

Dasmesh's year-to-date (Apr-Sep) sales were 176 units in 2024, which is 1 more than 175 units in 2023. Their market share increased from 3.03% in Apr-Sep 2023 to 3.63% in Apr-Sep 2024, showing a growth of 0.59%.

Punni Vishavkarma Harvester Sales in September 2024

In September 2024, Punni Vishavkarma sold 65 harvesters, compared to just 8 harvesters in September 2023. Their market share went up from 1.91% in Sep 2023 to 6.05% in Sep 2024, indicating an overall growth of 4.14%. 

Punni Vishavkarma sold 138 harvesters from Apr-Sep 2024, compared to 57 harvesters in Apr-Sep 2023. Their market share increased from 0.99% in Apr-Sep 2023 to 2.84% in Apr-Sep 2024, showing a growth of 1.86%.

Guru Nanak Harvester Sales in September 2024

Guru Nanak sold 16 harvester units in September 2024, which is more than 8 harvester units sold in September 2024. The market share has declined 0.42% from 1.91% in September 2023 to 1.49% in September 2024.

Guru Nanak sold 112 harevsters from April to September 2024. It is lower than the 144 units sold from April to September 2023. Their market share decreased by 0.19%, going from 2.49% in Apr-Sep 2023 to 2.31% in Apr-Sep 2024.

Shaktiman Harvester Sales in September 2024

In September 2024, Shaktiman sold 8 harvesters, more than 4 units they sold in September 2023. In September 2024, their market share went down to 0.74% from 0.96% in Sep 2023, which is a fall of 0.22%.

The number of harvesters Shaktiman sold from April to September 2024 was 87 units lower than the number of 127 units sold during the same time period in 2023. Their share market went down to 0.41% which was 2.20% in 2023 and 1.79% in 2024.

K.S. Agrotech Harvester Sales in September 2024

In September 2024, K.S. Agrotech sold 9 harvester units. In September 2023, they sold 3 units. Their market share went from 0.72% in Sep 2023 to 0.84% in Sep 2024, indicating a growth of 0.12%.

From April to September 2024, K.S. Agrotech sold 84 units, which is more than the 21 units they sold during the same time last year. In this period, K.S. Agrotech's market share went from 0.36% in April to September 2023 to 1.73% in April to September 2024, indicating a growth of 1.37%.

Surindera Harvester Sales in September 2024

Surindera sold 16 harvesters in September 2024 which is more than 6 units sold by them in September 2023. Their market share went up from 1.44% in September 2023 to 1.49% in September 2024, showing a minor growth of 0.05%.

Surindera's year-to-date (Apr-Sep) 2024 harvester sales are 83 units, which is 1 less than 84 harvester units it sold during the same time in 2023. Also, their market share increased 0.26% from 1.45% in Apr-Sep 2023 to 1.71%  in Apr-Sep 2024. 

K.S. Agricultural Harvester Sales in September 2024

20 units of harvester were sold by K.S. Agricultural in September 2024, while 0 units were sold in September 2023. It shows a clear increase of 1.86% in their market share from 0.00% in September 2023 to 1.86% in September 2024.

Between April and September 2024, K.S. Agricultural sold 78 harvesters, which is less than 124 harvesters sold during year-to-date (Apr-Sep) sales in 2023. But during the same time period, their market share went down from 2.15% in Apr-Sep 2023 to 1.61% in Apr-Sep 2024, indicating an overall decline of 0.54%.

Other Brands Harvester Sales in September 2024

Other companies collectively sold 354 units of harvesters in September 2024, up from 151 units in September 2023. Their market share went down from 36.12%  in September 2023 to 32.96% in September 2024, indicating a decline of 3.16%.

From April to September 2024, other brands sold 1,572 units harvesters, which is less than the 2,046 units they sold during the same time in 2023. Their market share went down from 35.43% in April to September 2023 to 32.38% in April to September 2024, which shows a decrease of 3.05%.

State-wise Harvester Sales from April to September 2024

Harvester Sales in Punjab from Apr-Sep 2024

A total of 1,618 harvesters were sold in Punjab from April to September 2024, which is 33.33% of all harvesters sold in the country. Kartar is the largest harvester-selling brand in Punjab. 

Harvester Sales in Uttar Pradesh from Apr-Sep 2024

With 712 Harvester units sold in UP, Malkit, Kartar, and Vishal ranked among the top 3 sellers of harvesters. This sale contributes 14.67% of the total sales.

Harvester Sales in Madhya Pradesh from Apr-Sep 2024

Top 3 harvester-selling brands in Madhya Pradesh are Kartar, Vishal, and Preet brands from April to September 2024. 577 harvesters sold in MP which is 11.88% of all sales in the state.

Harvester Sales in Haryana from Apr-Sep 2024

The total number of harvesters sold in Haryana is 562. Haryana contributes 11.58 % of total harvester sales. Vishal, kartar, and Punni Vishavkarma are the top names in the harvester sales in Haryana. 

Harvester Sales in Chhattisgarh from Apr-Sep 2024

In Chattisgarh, 354 units of harvesters were sold, which is 7.29% of all sales. The major players in the harvesters' sales are K.S Agrotech and Vishal.
